Hey loves!
So I have decided to revamp this blog a bit. I'm going to (and I am determined to keep this up) do a look of the week every week and have a weekly tea. If you don't know what the tea is, it basically means let me tell you the deal. So I will have a tea and a celebrity tea every week. I will also be uploading my newest work to this blog as I have been working rather vigorously lately. Thus my lack of posts. Well that and the fact that my baby is being crazy most of the day. LOL. And I am going to catch you guys up on my latest diamonds in the rough. My diamonds in the rough are the products I find that are simply amazing and dirt cheap. You guys know that I love a good product for cheap so I want to share that with you more often. I apologize for being so scarce the last few months. Trying to adjust with the new baby and all this new work has been rather tough. So please bare with me and I promise as I learn to deal with my schedule I will get it together. I love you all and until next time...Smooches!

Falling in love with Fall
Hello Loves!
Fall is finally here! I love autumn with the leaves changing color and the weather getting cooler. All the delicious smells that come around thanksgiving time and food. This to me is the greatest time of year. We can finally break out the cute boots and jackets and gloves and layer to our liking. Not to mention, we can get into the cooler colors and do more sultry eyes because it fits so perfect into the season. And what are some trends we are seeing this season you ask. Let's check it out.
Luminous Skin:
The no makeup, makeup look. You want to keep your palette simple and clean for this one leaving the colorful fun stuff out. Browns, gold and carmel's are what makes this look subtle yet beautiful. Keep your skin nice clean with very little contour and highlight. On the eyes use your golds and browns just bringing out the crease a bit without over exaggerating it. Use a nice nude on the lip or a rich red or pink to make it pop. I love this look. It's super simple and can be done for an everyday look through out the year.
Smokey Eyes:
Now it is indeed a fact that I cannot stand the smokey eye. All year long I see women with smokey eyes or black eyes looking either dead or tired and just plain bad. However, when we get into the fall and winter season a smokey eye done well can make you look bold, sexy and edgy. It is a great way to compliment the cooler tones you will be wearing this season. To do a great smokey eye you must first powder under the eye. This way the fall out you have will be easier to remove. Use a black pencil or paint pot first to make the colors more intense. When you use black shadow it can fall over the course of the day making you look tired so try to avoid using just black and use color instead. Vamp the look up a little by adding glitter or shimmery shadows. Glitter makes everything better so don't be a stranger. Just make sure to remove anything that falls under your eye with a clean spoolie or wipe.
Bold Liner:
This is my specialty. I love graphic, bold, clean lines on the eyes. It's easy to do and can make you look elegant, sassy, innocent or bad ass. The key to liner is control. If your a beginner a liquid liner pen will do well for you or the pencil. If your more advanced in your skills you may use a cake liner or gel liner. It's a bit more to do but it's not difficult to control. If your a makeup artist or want to be, learn to master all forms of liner. They will come in handy. Study your eye and play with the placement of the lines. You don't have to do a wing all the time. Play around with placement and make lines and see what you like for your eye shape. Keep your lines crisp using concealer and plenty of q-tips.
Bold Brows:
It's no secret that the thicker your brows are the more innocent you look. When you have a thinner arched brow you look more intense. Think of snow white in terms of brows. The evil queen has severely thin and extremely arched brows. Snow white however, has fuller and straighter brows making her look sweet and young and innocent. I love bold brows with a nice arch that are not to severe. Play with your eyebrows a bit. Fill them in and see how you look. It's an amazing difference how just a little bit of filling in can change your whole look.
Velvet Lips:
I am so loving this trend. This has been one of my favorite looks to play with. It's so dramatic and sexy without being over bearing. To achieve this you will want to use a dark lip liner. Try a nice plum or red color with a blue undertone to it. Then add a nice deep lipstick over top. Grab a black liner or lipstick and line the lips with it or place it on the outer portion of the lips. You then want to add a bright color just to the center. Blot and powder the lips to make them matte.Voila! You have a matte velvet lip. If you prefer glossy skip the powdering step.
These are a few things I've seen trending this season and I love it all. I hope you all can play around with these looks and have fun. I will have pictures up soon to give you guys some ideas. If you have any questions please let me know and if you try a look also let me know how it goes I would love to see it. As always love you all and until next time...Smooches!

Hello Loves!
So I know a few people have been on my case lately. No I have not abandoned this blog. We are still live and in full effect. As you guys know I have been going through it with my pregnancy. It has been pretty rough on my body and I had to stop working and I have basically been on watch for over a month now. We are now safely at 38 weeks and fella number 2 is due any day. Anyway I have quite a few things I'm excited to show you guys and share with you and just get back to blogging. I really miss blogging and doing things for you all so I will be back soon. I have redone my logo and been looking into different ways to get business in so I can have some fresh work to show you. I have a lot of fall and winter stuff to share with you guys that I am really excited about. So I was just taking a moment out to apologize for my absence and let you guys know I will have some new exciting things up in the next few weeks. Thank you guys for bearing with me and being patient. Love you guys and I'll be back soon. Until next time...Smooches!

Bet Awards: My Hits and Misses list
Hello Loves!
So my husband and I may be the only people in life who did not watch the BET Awards last night. I know what your thinking but this has been an intense weekend for us. We spent all day sunday getting our home new baby ready because we are only 9 weeks out from my due date. So that being said I think we have a valid excuse to not have tuned in. So I looked around to see what was worn and I saw a couple of looks that I liked and alot that made me say wtf?! Aside from that I hear the performances were great as well as the tributes. I am sure the performance and presentation outfits were much better than the red carpet. Or at least I hope so. Without further ado, let's get into these looks.
(Disclaimer: All photos were found via google. I do not own the copyrights to any photo featured on this post. These are my opinions. Please do not take offense. It's not that serious. Thanks.)

Ciara looked lovely on the left. Her hair was great and makeup subtle.
Then we have Tamar Braxton on the right with our first wtf look. I mean really though this dress is not flattering at all. It just looked like she was trying way too hard. Complete miss to me.
Kevin Hart. What happend? Love you guy you are super silly but I must raise my eye brow on this look. However his skin looked really smooth on stage. Was makeup involved? If so it looked nice.

LaLa Anthony looked great! I am loving this glitter jumpsuit with the side braid. I thought she looked gorgous. Her makeup could have been a bit more bold for me but other than that I love it. Work!
Ummm Mr. Dupree, what goes on here? I mean I can't figure out if your going to an award show or to a golf course with some older men. Just saying. Sorry sir but you missed the swag train with this look.
Chaka Khan girl you look good. I hope I end up looking like this at some point in life. She looks fierce! This to me is what fabulous really looks like. Just sexiness! Work!
Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose. I don't even feel like going into this. We all obviously see the clear and present ratchetness that is happening in this photo. Let's just leave it at that.
Elle Varner. I love this look on her. Very cute and sleek. The paisley print pattern is rather busy but other than that I love the whole look. Work!
Diggy Simmons looking young and privilaged. Yup that sums this up.
The little men of Mindless Behavior. They looked pretty cute. Got the all black working. Makes me wonder though how hot they had to be in all this black. Makes me sweat thinking about it.
Melissa Ford and Flo Rida don't look half bad. Well okay she looks great, he looks like he's about to go to a revival. That pastel blue doesn't do it for me but he doesn't look terrible either. Good job guys.
Oh! 2 Chainz you could be dressed in royal garb and you would STILL look ratchet. Looking pretty hood rich in this Versace.
So Tyga. I cant. I just can't do it.
So here is what seems to be everyone's favorite photo of the night. Bey and Jay and Kim K. and Kanye. How cute everything rhymes. Rolling eyes. Anyway you can see some of Beyonce in her Stephane Rolland gown but you can't see the unfortunate Givenchey sandals she was wearing. We can also see the bland Jay-Z and Kanye mucking it up whilst Kim sits there in her ever boring white dress looking slightly out of place. This whole situation bores me. Moving on.
Oh Tatiana Ali. Usually you look so lovely and such. But what is this? This yellow skirt with peplum looks really cheap. The fabric is bad the color is blah. She has such a great figure for this outfit. I also want to say i didn't care for her makeup either. I don't know I think her team just missed completely with this one. Hope they do better next time.
Tocarra you are entirely too gorgeous and beautifully built to cover your curves in this. I believe it's a Gucci ensemble she's wearing and no offense to either party this does not suit her. It's so busy I don't know what to look at. Next time grab something that hugs those curves and shows off that bust girl! You got it so you must flaunt it.
Now Keri Washington you are my girl! I love her just not in this outfit. The color of the top is bad not to mention the fit. I like the belt but all in all I have to say this was a miss. Sorry girl.
And that just about sums up the BET Awards 2012 hits and misses for me. There are several others who looked questionable who are not mentioned. As well as others who looked great who were not mentioned. These were my thoughts on the photos from the night. Hope you guys enjoyed this. Until next time...Smooches!
